Battle of the Bulge Battlefield Guide

Bastogne Battlefield Guide

Me,myself and I

Reg’s interest in WWII started when he was just a boy. Always fascinated by seeing WWII footage of the D-Day landings, parachutes over the Netherlands and the snow-covered foxholes in the Ardennes.

Reg’s  grandfather was a veteran. He was wounded in 1940 in France, fighting with the Belgian Army. The passing of his grandfather became a turning point in Reg’s life as he realized that freedom didn’t come for  free and that historical knowledge should be preserved and passed on.

‘Please don’t call me a Historian, I am not!’

Over the past 17 years Reg intensively studied, researched and explored the battlefields in Bastogne and the Ardennes. He is a researcher who collects information, pieces of the giant puzzle, investigates  and fits them together …., this to archive WWII History, to pass on history to the next generations and to preserve the legacy of the finest young men who paid the highest price for our freedom.

His special interests go to the Siege of Bastogne, the 101st Airborne Division and all its attached units. The 82ndAirborne Division, 84th Inf. Div., 99th Inf. Div., 2nd Inf. Div., 75th Inf. Reg has visited the WWII battlefields with many veterans and was asked by authors, artists and organizations  to give historical advice.

Congratulations on getting your web site up and running.  We now have a reliable and knowledgeable person in place on site of “The Greatest Land Battle in History.” Having fought in and around the Bastogne area I would not hesitate to recommend you and your service to all who are interested in the facts of history in your area.
