Ivor Rowberry enlisted into the South Saffordshire Regiment in WWII. First Mission: Operation Market Garden. Arnhem.

Just before a glider took him to the Netherlands, Ivor wrote a letter to his mum.

Unfortunayely, Ivor was killed by a mortar round on 22 September  near the Old Church of Oosterbeek.
